Leipzig/Recklinghausen (dpa) - Electroshock devices during the dog training are forbidden. This is a decision of the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig from Thursday. Such devices can cause substantially pain, they said.
They are already suitable due, through their design and function mode, to inflict damage on pets. The complainant offers tutorials for dog training in the Ruhr and would demonstrate the use of electroshock devices. The judges of Leipzig conceded a point to the rural district Recklinghausen and confirmed the judgment of the Higher Administrative Court in Muenster. The Animal Protection Law forbids the use of devices which shorten the appropriate to the species behaviour or force the pet to move through direct energizing.
